Přednáška je součástí doprovodného programu k expozici Židé na Moravě. Vila a její obyvatelé.

Dr. Baránek se odborně zaměřuje na integraci židů mezi léty 1848–1939 a na historii židovských náboženských institucí a spolků. V loňském roce vydal knihu nazvanou Překračování hranic ghetta: Proměna židovských sídelních struktur a akulturační strategie židů. Ve své přednášce se zaměří na důsledky zrovnoprávnění židů na podobu židovského osídlení na Moravě.
